’Twas the week before Christmas and all through the world
A pandemic changed lives of men and women
Of every boy and each girl
Months of sickness and job loss
Families quarantined
Hope for the hopeless
Remained to be seen
What about presents for family, gifts for the kids?
Parents fretted
There were no surprises normally hid
God above looked at all
Shaking his head
Does no one remember Christ Jesus,
Who rose from the dead?
I, as the Father, became Immanuel The Son
Through birth, death and resurrection
The battle is already won
Jesus ultimate sacrifice
through shed blood and death on the cross
Is every Believer’s gain, overpowering any loss
If you believe in Me, your battles are won
Look not at the material, the glitter and gold
Rather focus on the gifts which cannot be sold
Salvation, life, joy and peace
With all his money, even
Jeff Bezos can’t buy these
It is time people focus on what they have,
Not on what they don’t
Praise and gratitude gives Me glory
While complaining just won’t
While I see all your troubles, your problems and cares
This is the season to appreciate,
take even the little and share
Jesus left you all with a promise
Delivered as full and paid
Live like you believe it, each and every day
“I will not leave you nor forsake you”
Is a promise — pandemic or not
God is wide awake, not sleeping
Do you feel He forgot?
