Morning Devotion: July 25

Psalm 38:15 “For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt (will) hear, O Lord my God.”

We have the opportunity to grow during life’s challenging times. Our discomfort causes us to make a move that is going to propel us forward or keep us stagnant. Those challenges are not by accident. While there are some mistakes we make on our own that will bring about a challenge (or two, or three), often challenges come out of an unexpected place. That is where our faith is brought to the surface. Moving forward in the face of the challenge, knowing that God will see You through — not only on the other side, but as You travel the bumpy road — is the meat from which mature faith is made.

Prayer: Lord God, I am believing in You during these trying times. In some ways I have been affected a little, in other ways I have been affected more so. Give me the courage to face any doubt or trepidation as I place my trust and my hope in You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
