Hebrews 12:8 “But if ye be (you are) without chastisement (sharp disapproval) whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.”
Even when God is harsh, He is gentle. It is not His will to be angry with us. He receives no pleasure in having to sharply correct us, showing His discontent with our actions and/or behaviors. But He does it because He loves us, His children, His creation.
