God provides us with instruction and direction through various means. Whether it is through His Word, a timely sermon or a simple text message sent from a friend — He knows how to reach us, even when we are paying the least attention. During times of crisis — our night seasons — it is important that we know to draw from our reins, which is translated as “kidneys” or “loins.” When we heed God’s guidance, holding it deep within, it becomes a never-ending resource from which we draw during the most difficult times. For this, we are reminded to bless the Lord.

Prayer: Father God, You are Adonai (God is my Lord). Thank You for always making a way of direction for me. May I always remember each lesson as a blessing. During difficult moments, help me to use what You have placed within me, so that I remain steadfast in times of uncertainty. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
