In each of the Psalms there is praise. Praise for God’s goodness, His mercy, His love — the list goes on. The phrase “in thy presence” is open to interpretation. I like to think of it as taking Him everywhere I go. Whether it is a song, a scripture or a positive thought, it is thoughts of God and His love towards me — ever present in His Word — which bring me joy. Outward circumstances are unable to disturb the inner calm, as we abide in His presence. Let this be a source of encouragement as we walk through this journey called life.

Prayer: God, You are the Alpha and Omega, You are the beginning and the end. I thank You that the path for my life has been laid by You, and You alone. Give me the eyes to not only see, but to experience all the pleasures You have in store for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
